Job summary

Albany Med Health System is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for the Inpatient Rehab - E8 unit on the Night shift. You will implement orders, administer meds, start IVs, and collaborate on patient care plans to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications include NYS RN licensure, BLS certification, and 1–3 years of Med-Surg or Progressive Care experience. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program with Diploma, ADN or BSN.
• Must hold current NYS Registered Nurse license.
• Maintains Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• 1–3 years of Med-Surg or Progressive Care nursing experience.
• Excellent communication, prioritization and time-management skills.
• Knowledge of quality improvement principles and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Implements physician orders, administers medications, starts IVs and documents care.
• Orders and interprets diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions.
• Assesses patient needs and responses to care; applies nursing judgment.
• Provides primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses.
• Collaborates on Plans of Care with the nursing team.
• Directs ancillary staff and maintains professional nursing standards.
