Job summary

Mercy is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Med Intermediate unit (PCU) on nights at Mercy Hospital Jefferson, Festus, MO. You will care for cardiac and select respiratory patients, collaborate with the care team, and ensure patient rights and confidentiality while maintaining Mercy Service Standards.

You should have an RN license, nursing degree, and BLS certification with strong assessment and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed RN in the hiring state or a compact licensure.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Graduated from an accredited school of nursing (ADN, Diploma, or BSN).
• Ability to push/pull 50 lbs and stand/walk for long periods.
• Strong assessment skills and teamwork are essential.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for patient care for assigned patients.
• Evaluates overall effectiveness of care provided by direct care givers.
