Job summary

San Juan Regional Medical Center is seeking an RN for night shift duties, capable of floating to multiple units including ED, BHU, Medical, Surgical, Nephrology, Cardiology, ICU, OB and more. The role emphasizes patient-centered care and maintaining clinical competency across units.

The nurse will support life-safety initiatives, adhere to policies, and participate in a team-focused, value-driven culture that prioritizes safety, courtesy, effectiveness, and stewardship.

Qualifications

• Current licensure by the State Board of Nursing of New Mexico or compact (multi-state) license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
• Must meet the requirements for obtaining and maintaining life support certifications as outlined in the Life Support Certification Policy.
• Must have minimum of two (2) years nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Will float to all units within SJRMC as follows: Emergency Department, Behavioral Health Unit, Medical Unit, Surgical Unit, Nephrology Unit, Cardiology Unit, Observation Unit, ICU4, ICU3, San Juan Regional Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit, Childbirth Center, Pediatric Unit and Outpatient Nursing Clinic.
• Provides individualized patient care and maintains clinical competency appropriate for the area of practice on all the units stated above.
• Provide coverage for the MRN role as needed.
• Prioritizes patient care based on acuity and assures continuity of safe/effective care of patients.
• Understands and follows policy and procedure in addition to meeting licensure requirements.
• Responsive to current safety and quality initiatives and sustains improvement.
• Charge RN for medical, surgical, nephrology, rehab, BHU and cardiology units.
• Builds productive interpersonal relationships in every encounter.
• Demonstrates teamwork and delegates appropriately to other team members.
• Actively participates in the department.
