• Performs patient/family teaching and discharge planning.
• Directs and evaluates nursing care; leads unit-level decision making.
• Assigns nursing care based on patient needs and staff competencies.
• Administers medications with knowledge of action, side effects, and contraindications.
• Assists with physician orders and communicates patient care needs.
