Job summary

Piedmont Augusta Hospital in Augusta, GA is seeking a Staff Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care across the patient lifecycle, applying nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care.

The role requires graduation from an accredited nursing program; a bachelor’s degree is preferred. Georgia RN licensure and BLS certification are required; prior hospital experience is preferred but new graduates are eligible to apply.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• No experience required; New Graduates eligible.
• Nursing experience in hospital setting preferred.
• 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions preferred.
• RN – Georgia licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNCL Multistate License. Required and
• BCLS – Basic Life Support Required.
• Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable (see addendum).

Responsibilities

• The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care for patients.
• Coordination of patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care.
• Functions within the policies and procedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growth and accountability.
