Job summary

Iredell Memorial Hospital Incorporated in Statesville, NC seeks an RN for the Geriatric Psychiatry unit to cover 7p-7a on a PRN basis. The RN will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for behavioral health patients, lead the care team, and ensure efficient use of supplies and equipment while promoting collaboration among staff.

Requirements include an active NC NCBON license (RN or LPN), BSN preferred, BLS at hire, prior patient care experience, and de-escalation training within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Active nursing license (NCBON) for RN or LPN
• BLS certification required at hire
• De-escalation training within 30 days
• BSN preferred, previous patient care experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform direct patient care using the nursing process.
• Serve as resource/role model to care partners and health care providers.
• Promote collaboration with all members of the health care team.
• Adhere to staffing plans and manage care on the Geri Psych unit.
