Job summary

Banner Health in Tucson, Arizona is seeking candidates for the New Nurse Experience program, a full-time RN role that mentors new graduates. Nurses will be clinically mentored, rotate through units, and stay on an NNE unit for at least 12 months to gain comprehensive training.

Most new grads work three 12-hour night shifts with weekend/holiday rotations, and benefit from Banner Health’s Total Rewards package including health/dental/vision, PTO, 401K, and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum of 12 months RN experience; new grads preferred/considered for program.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document nursing care.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team to ensure patient progress and discharge planning.
• Provide care according to physician orders and nursing plan of care.
• Participate in professional development, precepting and mentoring of new staff.
