Job summary

Sharp HealthCare is seeking a Registered Nurse for a night shift at the Coronado location. This per diem role requires delivering direct and indirect nursing care, assessing patient needs, and coordinating with the care team to ensure safe, high‑quality outcomes.

Responsibilities include delegating tasks, documenting care per guidelines, educating patients and families, and supporting continuous improvement on the unit.

Qualifications

• Graduate of nursing school.
• 2 Years clinical experience.
• California Registered Nurse (RN) - CA Board of Registered Nursing -REQUIRED
• AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) -REQUIRED
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) - Certificate -REQUIRED

Responsibilities

• To provide direct and indirect nursing services to patients and families.
• Delegates/assigns and communicates expectations for care delivery processes.
• Documents per department guidelines of care and policies.
• Establishes a therapeutic relationship with patient and family.
• Helps coworkers improve performance and supports team.
• Provides age appropriate patient education and coordinates discharge planning.
• Uses nursing process to plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Acts as preceptor/teacher and makes referrals as needed.
