Job summary

Jersey City Medical Center in Jersey City, NJ, seeks an RN for the Medical-Surgical Unit-I. The role supports patient care during the night shift (7:00pm–7:00am) on a part-time schedule, requiring NJ RN licensure and BLS/ACLS readiness.

Responsibilities include collaborating with medical staff to deliver high-quality, age-appropriate nursing care. Minimum qualifications include a nursing degree and licensure; preferred candidates bring strong communication and writing skills to improve patient

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
• Active NJ RN License or Multistate RN License with NJ Endorsement.
• BLS certification through American Heart Association.
• ACLS certification within 6 months from date of hire.
• Complete 8 hours of continuing education in cerebrovascular disease annually.
• Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal, and demonstrated writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality nursing care in collaboration with the medical staff.
• Implement the Hospital's Mission and goals through established policies and performance improvement.
• Deliver age-specific nursing care within an assigned unit following the NJ Nurse Practice Act.
