Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an RN Nurse Manager for the 7p-7a schedule at 34000 Atrium Health Cleveland - Administration: Nursing. This full-time role oversees unit operations, staffing, and patient care coordination across units.

The position requires BSN, RN licensure, and strong leadership. BLS and CPI certifications are required; management experience is preferred. Competitive benefits and total rewards are offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current RN licensure in appropriate state.
• BSN required.
• Two years nursing experience preferred.
• Previous management experience preferred.
• BLS required per policy guidelines.
• CPI certification required within 90 days of hire date.
• Appropriate professional certification (clinical or leadership) within 1 year of eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Communicates administrative problems and actions to nurse leader and Administrator-On-Call; rounds on all units to assess efficiency and satisfaction.
• Guides staff in compliance with state/federal laws, Nursing Practice Act, and policies.
• Coordinates communication during shifts via huddles/rounds to exchange information and promote dialogue.
• Assists with appropriate utilization of resources to meet patient care needs.
• Supervises nursing personnel, identifies problems, initiates corrective action, documents actions.
• Provides advice to nurses on new or unusual treatments or medications and responds to emergencies.
• Coordinates shift management of patient flow, including admissions/transfers, and works with interdisciplinary teams.
• Monitors staffing using Float Pool/PRN and reallocates personnel to ensure appropriate staffing.
