St. Peter's Hospital in Albany, part of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a weekend night shift track on a part-time basis. You will assess, treat and care for patients with pulmonary disorders, using cardiopulmonary equipment and related diagnostic procedures, across all ages.

You must have an Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy and a current NY State RT license. The position offers a competitive weekend night rate with pay based on experience and

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy required.
• Current NY State RT License required.

Responsabilités

• As an RT, assess, treat and care for patients with pulmonary disorders.
• Analyze and perform diagnostic testing; set up and utilize cardiopulmonary equipment and machines to assist or monitor breathing.
• Gather data to assess patient health status and needs.
• Observe, record and report symptoms, reactions and progress of patients.
• Administer and record prescribed medications, treatments and diagnostic procedures.
• Airway management including endotracheal intubations and extubations, pulmonary hygiene, and tracheostomy care and emergency life support procedures.
• Provide health education to patients and the community.
