Responsibilities

• Initiates, monitors and weans patients on mechanical ventilation per department policies.
• Measures arterial blood gases (ABG) and maintains ABG equipment.
• Responds to emergencies, assists in CPR, and transports patients.
• Sets up equipment and administers therapeutic modalities per department policies.
• Completes patient records and department documentation.
• Participates in staff orientation and provides training and inservice to hospital personnel.
