Job summary

Mercy South in St. Louis, MO, is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory therapy. You will consult on therapy effectiveness and serve as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing staff, with NICU rotations on a rotating basis.

The role requires CoArc-approved respiratory care education, state licensure as an RCP, and NBRC RRT credential; PALS is required in ER. ACLS preferred. Night shifts offered with a $20,000 bonus for RRTs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program.
• Meets state licensure requirements and has a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• Hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential awarded by NBRC; PALS required for ER.
• ACLS preferred.
• Physical demands include push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs; kneel, crouch, crawl as needed.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care per physician's orders.
• Consults physicians on effectiveness of therapy.
• Acts as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care.
• Rotates to NICU for training and assignments as needed.
