Job summary

Samaritan Hospital, part of St. Peter's Health Partners, seeks a Respiratory Therapist for the night shift (12 hours) on a part-time basis to meet scheduling needs.

You will assess and treat patients with pulmonary disorders, operate cardiopulmonary equipment, and document care. Requirements: Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy, NY State RT license, ACLS and BLS certifications. Pay range: $39.22–$51.77 per hour.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy required.
• Current NY State RT license required.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Gather data to assess a patient's health status.
• Assess the patient according to age-related needs.
• Observe, record and report symptoms, reactions and progress.
• Administer and record prescribed medications, treatments and diagnostic procedures.
• Airway management including endotracheal intubations/extubations and tracheostomy care.
• Provide health education to patients and the public.
