Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join our team. The role involves performing patient assessments, respiratory care procedures, blood gas analysis, and equipment management in adult care areas. You will educate patients and families on care plans and follow established protocols.

Required credentials include RRT, BCLS, ACLS, and PALS within 60 days. Weekend coverage (7pm-7am) is required, and experience is welcomed but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Certification as Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required or obtain upon hire.
• Basic Life Support (BCLS) required upon hire.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required upon hire.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 60 days required.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and respiratory care procedures in adult care areas.
• Follow respiratory care protocols and manage routine and critical procedures.
• Perform blood gas analyses and ensure equipment maintenance.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory care plans.
