Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in SSH-Grosse Pointe is hiring a Respiratory Therapist (RT) for full-time nights. You will evaluate patients, provide respiratory care for critical and complex cases, and assist with intubation procedures as part of a skilled critical care team.

Minimum requirements include an active NBRC CRT or RRT credential, BLS, current state licensure, and ACLS within 6 months of hire. Tuition reimbursement, generous PTO, and a clinical ladder support ongoing professional growth.

Qualifications

• Must possess Active NBRC CRT or RRT credential or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma (preferred) or high school transcript/diploma or GED.
• BLS certification by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS is required within 6 months of hire (first shift for agency RT, hire for PRN).
• Preferred qualifications include 1 year of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating patients and recommending an appropriate treatment plan.
• Providing respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions.
• Performing insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Promoting continuous quality improvement.
• Teaching and counseling patients/families.
