Job summary

North Alabama Medical Center in Florence, AL is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for full‑time night shift to join our patient‑focused team. You will examine and treat patients with breathing conditions, perform diagnostics, and collaborate with physicians to implement effective therapy plans.

Responsibilities include delivering therapies, monitoring responses, supporting codes, and educating patients and families.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in respiratory therapy required.
• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license in state of Alabama.
• BCLS required; ACLS, PALS, and NRP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Examines and treats patients with breathing-related conditions and collaborates with physicians to develop treatment plans.
• Delivers respiratory therapies, monitors patient status, and documents responses to treatment.
• Responds to codes and emergent calls with appropriate interventions.
• Evaluates respiratory care policies and contributes to quality improvement initiatives.
• Educates patients and families on illness, therapies, device use, and community resources.
