Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Six months to a year of experience as a licensed RN or holder of an active GN permit.
• BLS required.
• RN License in state of employment or compact.
• Graduate Nurse Permit details and transfer process described in policy.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive nursing care plans.
• Provide patient care and coordinate with interdisciplinary team.
• Supervise LVN/LPNs, nursing assistants, and unit staff.
• Document care and progress notes daily; complete nursing flow sheets.
• Educate patients and families and serve as role model for students and staff.
