Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse for night shifts to provide individualized patient care in collaboration with the healthcare team. The RN will utilize the nursing process to deliver safe and effective care to patients and families in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Required qualifications include an Associate degree in nursing, SC or compact-state RN licensure, and BLS; ACLS is also required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing is required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state is required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized, goal-directed patient care using the nursing process.
• Deliver safe and effective care and collaborate with the health care team to achieve patient outcomes.
• Demonstrate professional nursing competencies in a hospital setting.
