Job summary

New Harmony Health Care Center in New Harmony, IN, is seeking a registered nurse for a full-time night shift (6pm–6am) to provide compassionate care for residents in a long-term care setting.

The RN will assess health conditions, administer medications, document care, and work with an interdisciplinary team to ensure quality outcomes. A current RN license, strong communication, and a patient-centered approach are required; experience in long-term care is a plus.

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered state license as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong critical thinking, clinical judgment, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
• Experience in long-term care or rehabilitation settings preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assess residents’ health conditions and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and maintain documentation.
• Monitor vital signs and report changes to staff/physician.
• Communicate with residents and families, providing education and support.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for coordinated care.
• Document patient progress and outcomes using electronic records.
