Job summary

Methodist Mansfield Medical Center, a 294-bed, full-service acute-care hospital serving North Texas, seeks a Registered Nurse for the night shift. The RN renders professional nursing care to assigned patients using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Basic Life Support Certification.
• Current Texas nursing license or eligibility.
• 12 months RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital standards and promotes a cooperative work environment.
• Assumes responsibility for nursing components of patient/family education and care.
• Communicates with team, patients and families to ensure understanding of information.
• Maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, staff and facility.
• Ensures accurate and timely written documentation of patient information.
• Administers medications and IV therapies safely.
• Contributes to quality care through the nursing process.
• Other duties as assigned.
