Job summary

Novolex is seeking a Reclaim Operator to operate and maintain reclaim equipment used to process plastic waste into reusable granules. You will monitor machine performance, quality, and safety while keeping accurate material records.

The role includes a night shift (5:50pm-6:00am) with a starting rate of $22 per hour plus a $2.00 night shift differential, paid weekly. Training and teamwork with maintenance and production are essential for smooth operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications are a plus.
• Previous experience operating reclaim equipment or similar machinery is preferred.
• Knowledge of plastics processing and extrusion/pelletizing basics.
• Ability to follow SOPs and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Operate reclaim equipment (shredders, extruders, pelletizers) to process plastic waste into granules.
• Monitor and adjust machine settings for temperature, speed, and feed rates.
• Inspect and maintain equipment; perform routine maintenance.
• Ensure reclaimed material meets specifications and perform simple tests.
• Record inventory and coordinate with production for material supply.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate with maintenance as needed.
• Uphold safety protocols and PPE usage; maintain clean work area.
