Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory/stocking accuracy and monitor ordering system integrity.
• Check condition, quantity, pricing, and temperature of received product.
• Process damaged or returned goods and complete paperwork.
• Assist with markdowns and 5S in markdown locations.
• Ensure inventory management for all delivered product.
• Manage DSD ad plan, inventory and ad space on the sales floor.
• Scan out-of-stocks and communicate with vendors.
• Maintain 5S standards in receiving and backroom areas.
• Ensure vendor compliance with policies and dress code.
• Assist with scheduling price changes by updating shelf tags.
• Plan, organize and supervise the inventory process.
• Report discrepancies to the department manager.
• Stay current with ads; adhere to food safety regulations.
• Assist with perishable donation program.
• Maintain proper temperatures and logs in cases and coolers.
• Ensure tools for shipping/receiving function properly; support smooth transitions into inventory logs.
• Perform preventive maintenance and notify for repairs.
• Maintain security of receiving area and backroom.
• Develop DSD Receiver backups and train associates.
• Communicate information to associates and vendors; promote teamwork.
• Train and evaluate associates; participate in performance appraisals.
• Assist in other departments when needed; attend required classes/meetings.
• Prepare for and perform quarterly inventory of department.
• Unload groceries and operate checkout terminal as needed; handle transactions.
• Bag groceries and load into shopping carts as needed.
