Job summary

Ultimate Staffing has partnered with a San Jose-based battery technology company to recruit R&D Technicians for solid-state battery development. The role involves cell fabrication, processing materials, and managing lab operations, with SOP-driven experiments and documentation.

The position supports a shift from Saturday to Tuesday, 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM, with a 12% differential pay. This long-term temporary opportunity may convert to permanent during interviews.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1+ years of hands-on experience in a laboratory, R&D, or process manufacturing environment.
• Ability to lift up to 15-25 lbs and work in a dry room, fume hood, or glovebox.

Responsibilities

• Cell Fabrication & Testing: Build coin cells, pouch cells, or proprietary solid-state devices following strict SOPs.
• Experiment Support: Partner with engineers and scientists on materials processing, metrology, and lab experiments.
• Data & Documentation: Record experimental data, track inventory, and report anomalies or results using MS Office or internal tools.
• Lab Maintenance: Keep a clean, safe workspace and maintain equipment or supplies.
