Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and inspection instructions.
• Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
• Use micrometers, calipers, height gauges, indicating micrometers, optical comparators, coordinate measuring machines (CMMs), vision systems, templates, and fixtures.
• Perform accurate visual and dimensional inspections and recognize conditions that do not meet requirements.
• Read, write, count, and complete inspection documentation accurately.
• Strong attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, reliability, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Inspect components, gauges, and finished parts according to approved instructions, engineering drawings, and specification sheets.
• Measure part dimensions using the appropriate precision instruments, templates, and fixtures to verify conformance to requirements.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections required for process qualification.
• Record inspection results clearly and complete process route cards, nonconformance reports, tags, and other required documentation.
• Identify discrepancies and communicate inspection concerns promptly so the appropriate follow-up action can be taken.
• Use SharePoint to search for, retrieve, and reference current control plans, blueprints, and gauge drawings during daily inspection activities.
