Job summary

Maker’s Pride, LLC seeks a Quality Technician to ensure food safety within the Quality Monitoring Scheme, meeting regulatory, customer, and company quality initiatives. The role supports HACCP, allergen, sanitation, and GMP programs while maintaining documentation and confidentiality.

Responsibilities include hourly quality checks on multiple lines, addressing discrepancies with supervisors, and performing HACCP/Preventive Controls checks as needed. Overtime and weekend hours apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Post High School education preferred.
• 3 months of as a Quality Assurance Technician experience required.
• 1 year QA or other Technical department experience preferred.
• Good attention to detail and ability to spot defects on fast-moving lines.
• Understanding of how different machinery operates relates to quality.
• Good verbal and written communication; Spanish is a plus.
• Ability to perform basic mathematics (fractions, ratios, percentages).
• Able to work collaboratively with coworkers and across departments.
• Experience with MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Perform Quality checks on production lines hourly per line (often 3 lines).
• Escalate discrepancies with the QMS to Supervisor or Quality Manager.
• Ensure products meet legal and customer requirements per Bluebook.
• Complete paperwork in a timely and accurate fashion daily.
• Maintain 5-S and keep work areas clean.
• Keep all information confidential.
• Maintain instrumentation and equipment in good condition.
• Label, store, and organize samples and retentions.
• Follow Hold Procedures for non-conforming materials.
• Perform HACCP and Preventive Controls checks as needed.
• Assist in test runs and new product trials.
• Perform other audits or inspections as required.
• Perform other duties as required by supervisor.
