Job summary

Wind River Environmental is seeking a dependable Pump Technician to pump and dispose of non-hazardous waste from septic systems. You will drive the company service truck to customer locations, operate vacuum equipment, and maintain safety and customer service standards.

The role includes a night shift with competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package. The base pay range is $28.00-$30.00 hourly, with final compensation based on location, education, experience, and skills.

Qualifications

• CDL (Class A or B) required or willing to obtain Tank endorsement.
• Ability to drive manual transmission.
• At least 1 year of professional commercial driving experience.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Basic computer literacy (email, internet).
• Must pass a DOT drug screen and physical exam.
• Willingness to work in a drug-free environment.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a service truck and vacuum equipment to pump septic tanks.
• Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections (fluids, tires, supplies).
• Provide professional customer service and educate customers on system care.
• Identify and report defective components or hazards and recommend service options.
• Complete and submit required paperwork accurately and promptly.
• Respond to trouble/emergency calls as needed.
• Follow all company safety protocols and DOT regulations.
• Work independently while representing Wind River Environmental in the field.
