Job summary

DuPont in Copley, OH is hiring a Production Technician focusing on thermoplastics. You will operate extrusion and blending equipment, monitor process controls, adjust processes, and ensure safety and product quality across the manufacturing line.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma/GED, prior extrusion/blending experience, proficiency with Word and Excel, and strong math and attention to detail. Willingness to work the night shift (6pm–6am), lift 50 lbs, and occasionally use SAP or

Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
Experience in extrusion and/or blending technology, manufacturing, the military, or a related environment is highly preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word/Excel).
Ability to perform basic math.
High attention to detail.
Follow procedures and practices to ensure a safe and efficient operation.
Associate degree or higher is preferred.
Other technical or manufacturing certifications are a plus.
Proficiency in SAP and forklift experience are preferred.

Responsibilities

Operating process related equipment and plant process control systems safely.
Optimizing plant performance by monitoring equipment and conditions (temperature, pressures, flow rates).
Collecting and reporting plant measurements related to performance and quality.
Adjusting manually operated equipment based on process and lab data.
Determining root causes of deviations through troubleshooting and RCA.
Completing duties with a strong focus on safety and environmental stewardship.
