Job summary

Oversee and assist Shift Leaders and Operators to ensure organizational commitments regarding people, safety, quality, delivery, and cost expectations are met. Collaborate with other departments to determine, analyze, and mitigate issues within the Rail Department. Responsible for ensuring that company policy and procedures are enforced and adhered to. This position will be a 12‑hour rotating shift (2 on, 2 off, 3 on, 2 off, 2 on, 3 off, etc.) on nights from 6:15 pm to 6:45 am.

What You’ll Do:
  • Provide leadership, direction, and oversight to the Rail Team to ensure company objectives are attained regarding Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost.
  • Assign work assignments to the Team Leaders and Operators.
  • Ensure plant safety procedures are followed to promote personal safety and the safety of others.
  • Practice strong engagement with direct reports and team members, including promoting diversity, sharing responsibility for success, demonstrating honesty and integrity, helping employees solve problems, and showing respect.
  • Provide training to Shift Leaders and Operators.
  • Ensure compliance regarding preventive maintenance and general maintenance as required.
  • Perform safety checks on all machinery in the department and report safety issues as needed.
  • Identify maintenance requirements and work with maintenance to repair equipment as required.
  • Perform administrative duties and process all required forms/paperwork.
  • Assist Operations to ensure production schedule is followed and executed completely and on time.
  • Ensure housekeeping duties are performed on the plant floor.
  • Understand, support, and follow all company policies, practices and procedures.
  • Work with management team to develop and implement process improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other assignments as directed.
What You’ll Bring:
  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Technical degree from a 2‑year college/university (preferred)
  • 3+ years of manufacturing experience (preferred)
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Minimum 1 year of leadership experience required
  • Strong leadership and team management skills

The annual salary for this position ranges from $75,000 in our lowest market up to $85,000 in our highest market, plus bonus and benefits as applicable. Pay for roles at AZEK varies by location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
