Job summary

Great Lakes Cheese Co. is seeking a Line Attendant in Manchester, TN to support production lines and packaging operations. You will maintain cleanliness, assist with weighing and packing, and ensure labels and backer boards meet customer specs.

Responsibilities include reviewing production orders, assembling and packing boxes, and documenting production data. You will help uphold GMP standards and Safe Quality Food practices while following safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and related equipment.
• Ability to read and prepare production reports and comprehend production worksheets.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.

Responsibilities

• Maintain area, equipment, and personal sanitation.
• Prepare, weigh, carry, load, space product.
• Open and rework product.
• Gather, review, and apply labels/backer boards.
• Review order specs and assemble boxes.
• Review order specs and pack boxes.
• Inspect machine E stops to ensure functionality.
• Perform quality checks to ensure packaging meets customer specs.
• Directly communicate to line personnel on order specs and quality issues.
• Palletize product.
• Enter data on production reports.
• Communicate safety issues to line personnel.
• Adhere to GMP and Safe Quality Food Program policies.
• Perform any assignment as directed by management.
