Job summary

Dayton Superior's White Cap brand is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee and coordinate production shift operations, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

You will plan work schedules, maintain knowledge of processes and equipment, supervise a team, and collaborate with scheduling, purchasing, shipping, maintenance and customer service to drive cost efficiency and meet plant metrics.

Qualifications

• Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline.
• Generally 5+ years of experience in production/related field.
• May require certification or advanced degree may offset less experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversees production operations on the assigned shift.
• Prepares work schedules to ensure efficient operations.
• Maintains knowledge of processes and equipment.
• Ensures that products are identified, weighed, and warehoused correctly.
• Troubleshoots issues that arise.
• Works collectively with scheduling, purchasing, shipping, maintenance, and customer service to ensure a cost-effective product delivered on-time.
• Works with supervisor to drive plant metrics scorecards while maintaining appropriate headcount, efficiency, spending, and budget adherence.
• Establishes measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
• Ensures that employees comply with applicable safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
