Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a Night Shift Production Supervisor in Sidney, Ohio. You will supervise hourly manufacturing staff, prioritize safety and quality, and guide continuous improvement initiatives on a night shift from 6pm to 4am.

Lead teams, conduct performance reviews, and coordinate with plant leadership to optimize staffing and labor costs while driving 5S and lean practices across production lines.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of progressively responsible supervisory/leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Highly developed oral and written communication skills, able to educate and train non-degreed operators and technicians.
• Ability to play a true team member role with other plant leadership members.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise, motivate, mentor and train employees on a regular basis.
• Highly skilled and motivated in all areas of production operation.
• Proficient in STOP and 5S principles.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates the manufacture of building products to meet production demands while ensuring quality, safety, and environmental responsibility.
• Develops and implements staffing guidelines to maximize utilization of human resources while controlling labor costs.
• Hires, supervises, evaluates, and replaces staff as required to ensure performance objectives are met/exceeded.
• Lead shift meetings for Safety and Production items as instructed by the manager.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives including 5S and conversion cost reduction.
• Provide technical leadership and training to shift personnel in areas such as line setup/operation and troubleshooting.
