Abbott is hiring a Processing Operator for the Nutrition Manufacturing division in Casa Grande, AZ. This night shift role focuses on producing liquid adult, pediatric, and medical nutrition products while upholding quality and safety standards.

You will lift ingredients, operate processing equipment, and document steps in compliance with FDA, OSHA, and Abbott policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to continuously lift up to 50 lbs.
• Knowledge of food processing techniques and documentation requirements.
• Ability to read and follow work orders and troubleshoot equipment.
• Operate powered industrial vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain the quality and safety system.
• Manufacture liquid adult, pediatric, and medical nutritional products.
• Lift and handle raw ingredients during weighing, staging, and manufacturing.
• Operate scales, portable pumps, container rinsers, homogenizers.
• Perform CIP and COP cleaning and routine housekeeping.
• Interact with computer systems and document steps per work orders.
• Prepare bulk slurries for blending and heat treatment processes.
• Operate and monitor computer-controlled CIP systems.
• Receive and unload bulk raw ingredients and CIP chemicals.

What You’ll Work On

• Implement and maintain the effectiveness of the quality and safety system

• Manufacture liquid adult, pediatric, and medical nutritional products

• Lift and handle raw ingredients during weighing, staging, and manufacturing processes

• Operate scales, portable pumps, container rinsers, homogenizers

• Perform hand cleaning, clean-in-place (CIP), cleaning-out-of-place (COP), and routine housekeeping

• Interact with computer systems integrated into the manufacturing process and document steps per work orders and job procedures

• Prepare, operate, monitor, and document bulk slurries for blending operations, heat treatment processes, and controlled weigh systems

• Operate and monitor computer-controlled CIP systems for manufacturing equipment (e.g., tanks, heat treatment systems)

• Receive and unload bulk raw ingredients and CIP chemicals

You’ll be accountable for meeting our compliance standards including FDA, OSHA and Abbott policies and procedures.

• Competitive Pay Rate and Shift Differential

• Shift: 12-hour Night Shift (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM)

• Schedule: Enjoy every other weekend off with a consistent 4-week rotation:

Sample Rotation:

• Week 1: Mon - OFF, Tues - OFF, Wed - 12 hours, Thurs - 12 hours, Fri - OFF, Sat - OFF, Sun - OFF

• Week 2: Mon - 12 hours, Tues - 12 hours, Wed - OFF, Thurs - OFF, Fri - 12 hours, Sat - 12 hours, Sun - 12 hours

• Week 3: Mon - OFF, Tues - OFF, Wed - 12 hours, Thurs - 12 hours, Fri - OFF, Sat - OFF, Sun – OFF

• Week 4 :Mon - 12 hours, Tues - 12 hours, Wed - OFF, Thurs - OFF, Fri - 12 hours, Sat - 12 hours, Sun - 12 hours

This schedule offers stability and work-life balance while providing opportunities for overtime.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED

• Ability to continuously lift up to 50 lbs throughout the shift

• Knowledge of food processing techniques and documentation requirements

• Ability to read and follow work orders, troubleshoot equipment breakdowns, and operate powered industrial vehicles

• Good mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a plant production environment (preferably in drug, food, or beverage manufacturing)
