Job summary

ElringKlinger Manufacturing Indiana Inc. is seeking a qualified machine operator to count parts, perform quality checks, and execute machining steps according to the work plan.

The role requires using 5S at the workstation, reporting downtime, and managing material in the ERP system. You will set up processes, monitor downtime and timings, pack and label produced parts, and escalate technical issues as needed.

Responsibilities

• Count good parts, rejected parts and parts that require reworking.
• Identify and report machine downtime.
• Insert material into and remove them from the systems.
• Ensure the use of the 5S methodology at the workstation.
• Work through cleaning and inspection plans.
• Perform the machining steps set out in the work plan.
• Confirm the good parts, rejected parts and parts that require reworking, the machining time and downtime and the reasons for deviations in the ERP system.
• Execute the material request and the material consumption posting in the ERP system.
• Pack and label produced parts as per the specifications.
• Carry out defined quality checks.
• Start/restart systems as per documentation or specifications.
• Fix temporary machine interruptions within responsibility.
• Escalate technical problems per escalation matrix.
• Carry out set-up process.
• Carry out additional tasks as required.
• Shift schedule: 3rd shift Sun-Thu 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM
