Fanatics is seeking a Heidelberg Press Operator to produce premium trading cards with exacting color and registration standards. The role requires expert knowledge of offset press operations, vigilant quality checks, and strict adherence to safety and maintenance protocols.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years in press operation, experience with Heidelberg multicolor presses, and a strong eye for detail in a fast-paced production setting.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience operating Heidelberg multicolor offset presses in a high-volume production environment.
• Proven ability to meet tight tolerances and exacting quality standards.
• Strong understanding of substrate behavior, ink formulations, coating techniques, and registration requirements.
• Commitment to cleanliness, safety, and machine maintenance to protect press integrity.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot issues independently and collaborate with other departments to resolve production challenges.

Responsibilities

• Operate and Maintain Heidelberg Offset Presses: Run high-speed Heidelberg presses with minimal downtime while ensuring output quality.
• Quality Control: Conduct color checks, registration, coating integrity, and defect elimination.
• Color Management: Use spectrophotometry and densitometry to meet color targets.
• Production Metrics: Hit daily goals, monitor press efficiency and waste reduction.
• Problem Solving: Diagnose and fix mechanical or print issues in real time.
• Collaboration: Coordinate with prepress, finishing, and QA to align output with design.
