Job summary

Nokia in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking a PIC Manufacturing Test Technician to build and maintain optical test stations for pilot production and manufacturing of photonic integrated circuits.

The role requires 3–5 years of direct manufacturing test experience in photonics or related fields, an AA degree or trade certificate, and the ability to troubleshoot automated test equipment while working as part of a team. Night shifts are required.

Qualifications

• - Two-year AA degree or trade school certificate and 3–5 years direct manufacturing test experience in photonics/laser-optics/optical network/semiconductor.
• - Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing automated test equipment.
• - Strong work ethic and commitment to quality; ability to work in a team.
• - Knowledge of SPC and station repeatability metrics; knowledge of optical device characterization preferred.
• - Willingness to work night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Full tool maintenance for multiple device characterization test stations, including build, QC using SPC, routine maintenance, and repair.
• Collaborate with engineering to implement hardware improvements.
• Collaborate with operations to develop and transfer operational procedures.
• Ensure tool quality and availability to support production.
• Night shift responsibilities required.
