Job summary

Nebraska Methodist Health System in Omaha, NE is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our laboratory team on the night shift (830pm-7am). You will collect and preserve blood samples and related fluids, perform dermal and venipuncture collections, and maintain documentation to ensure accurate laboratory services.

Candidates should have a High School diploma or GED, with at least 6 months phlebotomy experience or ASCP-certified training. Shift flexibility and adherence to PPE guidelines are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; continuing education programs mandatory as per policies.
• At least 6 months phlebotomy experience or ASCP-certified training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy duties including venipuncture and dermal collection.
• Collect and preserve blood samples and other body fluids for analysis.
• Maintain proper documentation and ensure turnaround times and accreditation requirements are met.
• Respond professionally to requests and communicate with laboratory leadership as needed.
