You will also be involved in aseptic compounding of sterile dosage forms, restocking cabinets, and handling controlled substances in compliance with regulations. Strong communication and teamwork are essential for patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current valid State Pharmacy Technician license.
• Obtain national certification within one year of hire.
• Maintain qualifications as Technician I per ladder policy.

Responsibilities

• Deliver medications promptly to nursing units and return items as needed.
• Maintain and restock unit-based automated dispensing cabinets with accuracy.
• Perform aseptic compounding of parenteral admixtures following proper techniques.
• Process floor stock requisitions and manage controlled substances per regulations.
• Assist pharmacists with order entry, labeling, and patient-facing service.
• Restock anesthesia cabinets and related kits with accurate documentation.
• Package bulk meds and submit products for pharmacist verification.
• Adhere to hospital policies and manage workload effectively.
