Texas Health HEB in Bedford, TX seeks a Patient Care Tech (PCT) for the Tower 5 Med Surg Unit. This full-time night shift role provides patient care per plan of care and supports nurses.

You will collect patient data, assist in admissions/discharges, and ensure safety and accurate documentation, with opportunities for growth and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience assisting patients under nursing supervision.
• Ability to collect data and report findings to nurses.
• Ability to assist in admissions/transfers/discharges.
• Commitment to patient safety and documentation.
• Willingness to work night shifts and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance to patient according to plan of care.
• Collects patient data, identifies and reports significant findings to nurse.
• Assists in admission/transfer/discharge.
• Provides and revises activities of daily living based on patient/family preferences.
• Performs technical procedures safely and proficiently.
• Takes action to reduce or eliminate patient risk.
• Enters orders into computer or manual system if applicable.
• Documents accurately and appropriately.
• In collaboration with the nurse, adapts care to reflect patient population.
• In collaboration with nurse, incorporates cultural/religious needs and beliefs into delivery of care.
• Keeps patient environment clean and maintains safe environment.
• Anticipates patient/family and visitor needs and rounds as appropriate
