Job summary

Sentara RMH Medical Center is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support nurses in delivering daily patient care in Harrisonburg, VA. The role includes taking vitals, assisting with admission/discharge, bathing, ambulating patients and basic procedures under supervision.

Responsibilities include blood draws, Foley care, and addressing patient needs while maintaining teamwork with the nursing staff. Previous direct care experience is preferred, with a competitive wage and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have one or more of the listed certifications or active clinical program enrollment.
• Previous direct care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take vitals and assist with daily patient care under supervision.
• Assist with admission/discharge procedures and patient transfers.
• Provide bathing, ambulation, and basic nursing assistance.
• Perform blood draws and Foley catheter care as directed by nurses.
