Job summary

Cleveland Clinic’s South Pointe Hospital in Beachwood, OH is hiring a Patient Care Nurse Assistant (PCNA). This role supports RNs in delivering compassionate patient care on the 6 Medical Unit, with emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Shift is nights 7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m. with every other weekend and holiday rotation. The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED, BLS certification, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• BLS Certification (AHA or Red Cross) must be obtained within the new-hire period.
• Nursing students may substitute clinical rotation for required experience.
• Military medical experience will be considered.
• Competencies in professional, technical and clinical knowledge must be demonstrated safely.
• Math & reading comprehension at junior high level minimum.

Responsibilities

• Provide or assist with patient care under RN supervision.
• Report abnormal findings to an RN.
• Keep patients' rooms clean and orderly.
