Job summary

Join Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest Hospital as a Patient Care Nurse Assistant on the 4West Med/Surg floor. This night-position supports registered nurses by providing or assisting with basic patient care, reporting changes, and keeping rooms clean and safe for patients.

You must have a High School diploma or GED, BLS certification, and may substitute clinical rotations for experience. STNA preferred; military medical experience considered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within new hire period. Nursing students must have prior to hire.
• Nursing students who have recently completed a minimum of one clinical rotation as part of an accredited nursing school program may substitute the clinical rotation for the required experience.
• Military experience as a Hospital Corpsman (HM), Combat Medic (68W) or Medical Service Technician (4N0X1) will be considered
• Demonstrate proficiency in applied mathematics & reading comprehension at minimum junior high level

Responsibilities

• Provide or assist with patient care under the supervision of an RN.
• Report abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to an RN.
• Assist with keeping patients’ rooms clean and orderly.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

Nursing students clinical rotation substitution

Military experience as Hospital Corpsman/Combat Medic/4N0X1 considered

State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) preferred
