Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience 1 year in acute health care setting (Preferred)
• CPR/BLS Certification - AHA/ARC/ISA (Upon Hire) (Required)
• Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) - Virginia Department of Health Professions (VDHP)
• In lieu of CNA, accepts EMT-B, CMA/RMA, Medical Assistant program graduate, or RN/LPN pathway with 80 clinical hours

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates understanding of technology systems for patient data collection.
• Ensures availability of resources (equipment, instruments, supplies) for positive patient outcomes.
• Maintains clean, safe, and orderly work/patient environment; stocks supplies; stores equipment properly.
• Follows plan of care and performs treatments/procedures under RN/LPN direction; may include enemas, vital signs, ice application, perineal care, rectal tube, sitz bath, and specimen collection.
• Follows the plan of care to provide consistent, competent, and ethical care within legal standards; maintains patient privacy and supports patient values.
• Completes required documentation and participates in training and support of team members.
