Job summary

King’s Hawaiian Bakery West, Inc is seeking a Palletizer to prepare distribution of finished products, verify case counts, and manage palletizing from packing to dock areas. You will wrap and secure loads, label pallets, and track counts while adhering to GMP and safety standards.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, English literacy, basic math, and certifications for forklift/electric pallet jack/manlift. Overtime and weekend shifts may be needed in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• English literacy to interpret safety rules, operating manuals and QA correspondence.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot, anticipate and correct problems in plant operations.
• Computer literacy, SAP and RFGen.
• Forklift/electric pallet jack/manlift certification required.
• Ability to work independently with little supervision.
• Overtime or weekend work may be required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare finished products by ensuring correct case count and addressing jams between packing and dock areas.
• Move and palletize cases, then wrap pallets for shipment and distribution.
• Record inventory by printing and affixing labels to pallets.
• Support packaging by staging materials line-side.
• Report safety and quality discrepancies to foreman or supervisor.
• Stack product cases on pallets and verify weights and damages.
• Inspect products for damage or conformity to specifications.
• Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and manlifts as needed.
• Record pallet counts and employee sale cases on the Case Count sheet.
• Maintain GMP and sanitation by cleaning work areas and equipment.
