Job summary

Southern Champion Tray (SCT) is seeking a Packer Technician to support the Operator in safely setting up, maintaining, and operating the auto-packer to achieve target run speeds. The role includes feeding product into the gluer and packing finished goods into cases while overseeing efficient machine operation.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, basic computer skills, and mechanical ability.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Support the Operator or Apprentice in safely setting up, maintaining, and operating the auto-packer to meet the target speed; assist with defining problems.
• Feed product into the gluer and pack finished product into cases; oversee efficient operation of the auto-packer.
• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot the auto-packer; assist with gluer setup and operate pack assist, case sealer, labeler, and automation.
• Assist in quality sampling of product and interface with electronic control panel; keep pace with high-speed equipment.
• Utilize downtime for setup or cleaning; follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
