Job summary

Shearer’s Foods is hiring a Packer Material Handler on the night shift (7pm–7am) in Fort Worth, TX. The role focuses on changeovers, labeling accuracy, and ensuring product specifications. Responsibilities include operating the case packer, skid tracking, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform basic math skills.
• Manufacturing experience/or warehouse experience preferred.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple instructions.
• Ability to deal with standardized situations with occasional variables.
• Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to reach, grasp and lift using arms and hands.
• Walk occasionally and ability to move freely through plant.
• Regularly lift/move up to 15 pounds without assistance.
• Use pallet jack to move heavy material or finished goods.

Responsibilities

• Identify changeovers for each shift.
• Order boxes from the warehouse and verify correct case labels.
• Check expiration dates on bags and labels.
• Verify customer specs at shift start and per changeover.
• Clear basic faults on automated case packer and communicate numbers to next shift.
• Maintain clean work area and assist with film changes as needed.
