Job summary

Teva is a leading biopharmaceutical company seeking a Packaging Operator in New Jersey to operate packaging line equipment, handle materials, and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. The role emphasizes attention to detail, SOP adherence, and effective communication to maintain smooth packaging operations.

The position supports the packing process, with shift timing from Sunday to Thursday, 10:45pm to 7am, and compensation of $34.45/hr plus a $2 shift differential.

Qualifications

• Education required: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 1–2 years’ experience in FDA-regulated packaging environment desired.
• Specialized technical knowledge, licenses or certifications as required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with PPE, safety, and EHS standards.
• Execute packaging operations according to SOPs.
• Respond promptly to alarms and troubleshoot packaging issues.
• Perform equipment cleaning, change parts, and line clearance activities.
• Complete required documentation, including batch records and verification checks.
• Stage and transfer packaging materials and bulk products as needed.
• Verify packaging components and bulk product against batch records and protocols.
• Stack finished goods cases on pallets, shrink-wrap, and transfer to warehouse.
• Operate palletizer and pallet jack safely and efficiently.
• Remove unused or discarded materials to designated areas.
• Ensure compliance with cGMP, DEA, OSHA and other regulations.
• Communicate effectively with team members to resolve issues and maintain workflow.
• Demonstrate urgency for quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Train and mentor other Material Handlers and Packaging Operators as required.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Supervisor or Manager.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.
