Job summary

Vericast is hiring for a night-shift packaging position in High Point, NC. Hourly pay is $17.50 and up DOE, plus $1.75 hourly shift differential. Hours are Sunday to Thursday, 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM.

After 30 days, you may choose from medical, dental, and vision plans, with 401(k) employer match, PTO, holiday pay, and a referral bonus. Mechanical aptitude and 0–3 years of packaging/production experience are valued.

Qualifications

• Experience / Skills / Abilities Required: Minimum 0 - 3 years previous machine operating or production experience in a team environment preferred.
• Average to above average mechanical ability helpful.
• Physical Requirements / Working Conditions: Manufacturing Environment - walking, standing, bending, twisting, grasping, reaching above and below shoulder, lifting up to 35pounds on a regular basis and up to 70 pounds on occasion.

Responsibilities

• Operate the packaging system monitoring overall performance, efficiency and quality.
• Perform equipment start-up, shut-down and preventive maintenance.
• Sample and monitor product quality coming off the system, making modifications as needed.
• Troubleshoot packaging system performance and quality problems, correcting them and stabilizing performance as they occur.
• Replenish materials ongoing as materials are depleted.
• Maintains production, efficiency and quality records related to the packaging system operation.
• Completes the production process for printed material by operating bindery/packaging equipment.
• Supports the manufacture of personal products through a continuous production operation, requiring an understanding of work methods and procedures as well as various binding machines.
