Job summary

Southern Champion Tray LLC is hiring a 2nd Press Operator for the offset sheet press on the night shift in Chattanooga, TN. You will set up the feeder, run presses to target speeds, verify print quality, and prepare for subsequent jobs.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, basic computer skills, and mechanical ability with 1–3 months related experience; large format press experience is preferred. Able to read job tickets and follow instructions in English.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED; 1–3 months related experience; large format press experience preferred; folding carton experience a plus.
• Must read and understand documents in English and follow directions; basic math and measurement skills.
• Ability to operate or feed a large format press and use simple measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate the feeder area of the conventional sheet‑fed printing press.
• Ensure quality products meet customer specs and machine standards.
• Review job tickets, prepare inks, plates, proofs and jackets for next job.
• Monitor ink levels, inspect paperboard quality, and maintain safe, clean work area.
• Assist First Press Operator and train new 2nd Press Operators.
• Follow safety policies and 5S standards; communicate shift information clearly.
