Qualifications

• Education: Nursing degree from an accredited program.
• Experience: Prior nursing leadership in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: Current and active nursing license required.
• Leadership: Ability to supervise, motivate and develop nursing staff.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication with residents, families and staff.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of nursing standards and long-term care regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care as needed while adhering to standards and facility policies.
• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of nursing staff, including schedules and workload management.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and support to nursing staff to promote a positive work environment.
• Conduct staff performance evaluations and provide coaching and development opportunities.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, rehab professionals, social services, and the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Monitor patient conditions and ensure timely interventions.
• Ensure staff are trained, competent, and able to provide safe patient care.
• Address patient, family, and staff concerns promptly and appropriately.
• Monitor compliance with facility policies, nursing standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in QAPI initiatives and identify opportunities for improvement.
